Dr. Parker, a board-certified radiation oncologist, has been employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for 29 years. She has been a Medical Director in Care Management since 2001. She is certified in Healthcare Quality & Management and is a fellow at the American Institute of Healthcare Quality & the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
In addition to her role as a Medical Director, Dr. Parker is a published author, having co-written, “Managing Asthma in a Managed Care Setting: Strategies for Treatment and Control.” Her work and talents have been recognized by numerous organizations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives and Alternatives for Girls.
Dr. Parker currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Midwest Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Advisory Board for the University of Detroit Mercy – Master of Health Services Administration Program, and their Alumni Board. She holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Detroit, an M.D. from the Wayne State University School of Medicine, and an MBA from Lawrence Technological University.
