Kate Kohn-Parrott is the principal of Novi-based KKP Consulting, a benefits and population health management firm that assists organizations with initiatives to improve health and wellbeing and provides benefits management advice to small and medium-size businesses. She has a passion for preventive health, resolving negative health behaviors and advancing prediabetes management.
Ms. Kohn-Parrott served from 2012-2021 as President and CEO of the Greater Detroit Area Health Council (GDAHC), a multi-stakeholder member organization and the nation’s first and longest-tenured Regional Health Improvement Collaborative. She led GDAHC’s work to make health care more affordable, identify and reduce disparities and implicit bias in care, integrate social determinants of health with clinical care, improve health behaviors and drive positive health outcomes.
Ms. Kohn-Parrott spent 26 years at Chrysler where she had responsibility for health and welfare programs, product cost and internal audit. She served as a health policy adviser to the Michigan House of Representatives and State Treasurer, and a consultant at Eastern Michigan University.
Ms. Kohn-Parrott is a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor. She is pursuing a Doctor of Health Science in population health management from Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She has a M.A.S. in population health from Johns Hopkins University (JHU), an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy and a BBA from Eastern Michigan University. She holds Certificates from the JHU Population Health Management program, the Stanford University Executive Program and the Managing Business Program at INSEAD (France).
She serves on several nonprofit boards.
