Ronald Stallworth has more than 35 years of experience in automotive, healthcare, and the law. He has worked in public affairs, legislative affairs, economic development, crisis management strategy and response, regulatory affairs and related areas for corporations, nonprofits, small businesses, and other entities.
Mr. Stallworth is senior counsel at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP and a member of the Government Advocacy and Affairs Practice Group. He is based in Warner’s Lansing office, but also practices in the firm’s Detroit office.
Prior to joining Warner Norcross + Judd, Mr. Stallworth served as public affairs lead for global automaker Stellantis managing Wayne County and a 10-state region in the Southeast. In this role, he focused on legislative policy and government affairs, monitoring legislative and regulatory activities, managing the writing and review of new policies, and securing economic development incentives. Mr. Stallworth led a $2.5 billion investment in two Michigan plants, including the first new vehicle assembly plant in Detroit in nearly three decades, creating thousands of jobs for Michigan residents.
Additionally, Mr. Stallworth is a long-term resident of Detroit and spent five years as the owner of a Detroit-based law firm, Stallworth & Associates, PLC. He consulted with companies doing business with governmental agencies in southeast Michigan in his legal practice. Recognizing the challenges faced by citizens in legal jeopardy, his practice also included working as a public defender to provide equity to people who could not afford legal counsel.
Mr. Stallworth serves on many boards, including Greening of Detroit, Develop Detroit, Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, and Chandler Park Conservancy. He is also a graduate of Leadership Detroit.
Mr. Stallworth holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy from James Madison College at Michigan State University and a law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
