Member-at-Large
Former CEO, Mountain-Pacific Quality Health
Sara Medley began her career with Mountain-Pacific Quality Health, a Helena, Montana-based nonprofit healthcare improvement organization, in 1973. Ms. Medley later directed Mountain-Pacific’s quality improvement operations and business development activities, which proved paramount to enabling the organization to form partnerships for providing solutions for better health in Alaska, Hawaii, Wyoming, and the U.S. Pacific Territories of American Samoa, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Additionally, under Ms. Medley’s leadership, Mountain-Pacific’s portfolio grew to include large Medicaid contracts, regional extension center grants, and a host of commercial contracts.
In 2012, Ms. Medley was appointed Mountain-Pacific’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Over the span of her decades-long career, she served in leadership roles on many local, state, regional and national boards. She remains passionate about the role consumers need to play in their own healthcare, and, in fact, was critical in launching and hosting a five-season long weekly series, “Healthy Living for Life.”
A native of Montana, Ms. Medley graduated from Carroll College with a bachelor’s degree in health information management. Ms. Medley retired in March 2023 and now serves on St. Peter’s Health’s board of directors. Continuing to remain active in the Helena community, she volunteers her time for a variety of causes.
